It all begins with the day Ish spotted a beautiful blonde with her head deep in a textbook at the Wayne State’s Ungraduated Library. Unfortunately Justine was too engrossed with her studies to notice Ish that day but several months later life gave him another opportunity to make an impression. While studying for her Linear Networks and System Analysis final in July 2015, Justine met Ish through one of her classmates. After a couple weeks of Snapchatting, Ish asked Justine to go to a Tigers game as their first date. Within the next couple months Justine and Ish spent more and more time together. Both found common interests in exploring Detroits new restaurants, going to different sporting events and attending different music shows. They officially became Ishtine (their couple name) on November 12, 2015.

Both Justine and Ish have a deep love for travel and documenting their explorations. After graduating from Wayne State, they went on a 3 week adventure to India. From Delhi to Goa to Amritsar, they had an unforgettable experience. Once returning from their travels Ish moved to Pittsburg to start his career with Pepsi. Justine stayed in Michigan working for a robotic prosthetic company. Over the next year one of them made the 5 hour trek to visit one another every weekend, sometimes meeting in the middle in Cleveland. While in Michigan one weekend Ish and Justine decided to adopt a dog and Wilson entered their lives. Soon Ish was promoted within Pepsi and relocated back to Michigan, Justine was ecstatic. They continued their travels visiting England, California, New York City, Cancun, Florida, and Ottawa.

In the spring of 2018 Ish bought his first home in Grosse Pointe Woods, which is when they decided Wilson needed a sibling, Mabel. Justine and Ish enjoyed redecorating their home and hosting numerous parties with their friends. When the pandemic started it offered an opportunity to really cement their futures together. From living room dance parties, gardening in backyard, and facing lives challenges, Justine and Ish’s relationship was strengthened in this time of social distancing. Ish knew that Justine was his true life partner and started planning the proposal. In Feburary 2021 Justine, Ish and Justine’s family took their yearly trip to Marco Island, Florida. Ish took Justine completely by surprise when he got down on one knee on the beach at 6:18 PM to ask for her hand in marriage. Of course she said yes!
